I am writing in support of David Falldien, who worked in the ITS department at Dalhousie University through July 2016. David was responsible for DalCard, a one-card system for students and employees. DalCard is used for university identification, cash and secure access to campus buildings. Dave was there from its inception and help grow a small project into an enterprise system. He led the expansion of mobility services as well as many innovative solutions for the clients that met their needs without compromising best practices.
David was a pleasure to work with and a strong team player. He was adept at working with clients, listening well and identifying solutions to help solve there needs. In that he was always well-regarded.
I also had the opportunity to provide career advice to David. He knew he had outgrown his positon here and took a bold move to cut loose from a secure job and set out to find something new. I admired that a lot in him, few people would take such a risk.
If you are considering him for a role in your business or organization, you will find a conscientious, dedicated team player who has versatile skills in a large IT organization. Since this is a general reference, I would be happy to provide further information for any particular role.
Respectfully,
Dwight Fischer
