Falldien IT consulting has been providing operational support for bike and brew since 2018. In that time, we have migrated email from a legacy hosted exchange environment to Office 365, migrated local their local file server to shared cloud storage sharing of their resources from the coffee shop, to the office, and bike repair shop.

Before starting my own company I worked for Dalhousie University, where I prided myself on my history of working with clients to design solutions that are right for them using a combination of vendor supplied and if required, purpose built applications. This role involved many aspects including leadership, process analysis and traveling to various conferences to present on various tasks and efficiencies that have been developed as part of my role.

Working with the University of Alberta to streamline their technical operations. I am working with staff at all levels to optimize their office procedures and best practices while developing for interdepartmental co-operation. Assisting the Team at UofA in developing an integration strategy to take full advantage of on campus resources while simultaneously decreasing operation costs and increasing system reliability and function.

Working with St Clair College I built a roadmap to expand their program from an ID only system to a full OneCard solutions. Implementing POS, web account management and integrations into printing. As part of this contract, I also implemented the solutions including training and configuration to ensure that they are able to be used moving forward.

Working with IT and Ancillaries, I assisted in all aspects of the OneCard implementation project. From defining best practices to working directly with vendors to help navigate integrations NAIT moved from no card system to a fully implemented system used across almost every department, from launch.

Georgian College already had a great plan to roll out and expand the use of their card program. I worked with them to not only expand the ONEcard usage, but define implemented changes to ensure that they are able to grow their program the way they want. From base system settings, to helping define the data coming from their SIS and streamlining their ID issuance process. Implementing new modules, web account management and defining integration paths into printing and vending. I worked with the ONEcard supervisor to help define additional reporting to ensure that all audit requirements are met and make sure that the proper methods of financial deposits and accounting are followed moving forward.

My time at MacEwan University was devoted towards helping to build a successful business case for implementation of a campus OneCard system. I assisted in pulling together a full list of stakeholders, interviewed each of them and worked with them to uncover ways that a OneCard system would help their departments. Engagement of all campus stakeholders is an important step in implementing a OneCard program as it helps to build campus wide buy-in and ensure that the campus vision is met at the department level.
